Suriname is the smallest state in South America, as of population and area. It was primarily known as Dutch Guiana or Netherlands Guyana. Its official name is Republic of Suriname and is situated along River Suriname. This land is covered by rainforest and for the same reason is abundant in flora and fauna. Suriname has got a number of attractions. It is one among those few places which are really blessed by nature. It is a wonderful tropical country where natural reserves are found in plenty.

The Central Suriname Nature Reserve
Located in the middle part of the country, the Central Suriname Nature Reserve consist of more than 1.6 million hectares of tropical forest and is therefore, placed on the list of UNESCO World Heritage as well. The upper watershed of Coppename River and the headwaters of various other rivers are protected by this reserve. It has varied ecosystems and some mountains, waterfalls and hills to preserve. It also has a diversified plant life with above 5000 plant species. The animals that live here are typically oriented to the region and include the giant river otter, giant armadillo, jaguar, many species of primates, sloths, tapir, and about 400 species of bird have also been recorded which includes the endangered ones like the scarlet macaw and harpy eagle

Savannah
The savannah near the Zandery airport has many good spots to observe savannah birds. Also other places in and around the airport and also on the road running south of Zandery, towards Brownsberg are very quiet and can as well be beautiful and full of birds, both during dawn and dusk. Pieces of remaining forest and more savannas and can be found along this road. Far deep in the south is a savannah, the Sipaliwini savannah sharing the border with Brazil. It has many special and large birds like storks.

Brownsberg Nature Park
A safe refuge to a wide variety of wildlife, the Brownsberg Nature Park is located on the 500 meter high plateau of Mazaroni. This reserve is a wonderful place to have a view of some of the diverse natural wonders of Suriname. The area has plenty of splendid views over the Brokopondo Reservoir too. It serves as a paradise for bird lovers, who get the opportunity of watching more than 200 species. There are many great tails along this area that offer waterfalls and creeks as well.

Mountain Ranges
The Van Asch Van Wijck Mountains and the Bankhuys Mountains are the two important mountain ranges. Many mountains that reach the sky are there in Suriname. Juliantop is considered to be the highest of all mountains in the entire country having height of approximately 1,286 meters. Other mountains include Tafelberg which has a height of 1,026 meters, mount Kasikasima which is around 718 meters in height, Goliathberg which is roughly 358 meters in height and the Voltzberg which has a height of about 240 meters, all being considered as the natural wonders of this country.

Coastal Marshes
The coastal area of Suriname, which is around 40km wide and around 100km wide, found in the western part of the country is extremely flat and contains plenty of marshes. The sea is fully muddy, the mudflats harboring a lot of wading birds and herons. The Bigi Pan area located in the west of the country is famous for Scarlet Ibis. Many water birds are found in its shallow marshes.

Suriname’s unadulterated inland forests and national parks make it an ideal place for a South American adventure. Suriname well-known for its natural beauty has got listed itself among the best places on Earth. Everything here in the country of Suriname exhibits one or the other unique quality.

Guyana can be called as a paradise for nature lovers, the eco-tourist and adventure seekers alike. The country has an irresistible combination of breathtaking and fascinating natural beauty, immense waterfalls, pristine Amazonian rainforests and of course, amazing wildlife blended with a rich heritage, vibrant indigenous culture and the most friendly and hospitable people in the world. With its biological diversity, natural beauty and a land of some of the rarest, spectacular and largest creatures, a trip to the land of Guyana will undoubtedly be a memorable experience for anybody.

Kaieteur Waterfalls
One of the world’s stunning and mind-blowing natural wonders is the Kaieteur Waterfalls, tumbling down over 741 feet! Kaieteur, which is located in the Kaieteur National Park is a refuge to a number of endangered and rarest species on the earth. A few species of fauna and flora that can be found in plenty in and around Kaieteur include tiny golden frogs, colourful Guyana cock-of-the-rock and blue morph butterflies. Kaieteur is one among the 300 waterfalls found in Guyana and holds the credit of being the longest single drop waterfall in the entire world, which is five times the size of gorgeous Niagara!

Kanuku Mountains
For adventure and nature lovers, the Kanuku Mountains, which has got the recognition by the Conservation International for being one among the few remaining pristine habitats of Amazon, is the most apt place to visit. This picturesque and splendid mountain range forms a wondrous backdrop to the Rupununi Savannahs, whose sculptured crowns peak just below the thick white clouds.

Iwokrama Forest
With the continuously growing concerns about the climate and environmental change, Guyana has the most unique and protected areas on the earth, which is none other than the Iwokrama forest. Iwokrama occupies almost one million acres of thick lush green forest, which serves as a wonderland for adventure-seekers and nature enthusiasts. This forest, which touts to be known as the ‘Green Heart of Guyana’ is highly rich in untouched beauty and natural resources and is often visited by a number of biologists and scientists across the world.

Shell Beach
Along the north-western shores of Guyana, the Shell Beach extends for about 90 miles. The beach got its name from the intact to finely destroyed sea shells of bivalves, molluscs and univalves, which cover the stretch of the beach. Shell beach is said to be a unique ecosystem comprising of inland swamp forests, savannahs and mangrove forests bordered by the sea board of the Atlantic. This beach serves as the favorite nesting ground for four among the eight species of marine turtles of the world namely, Olive Ridley, Green, Hawksbill and the Leatherback, which visit this place every year between the month of March and July for nesting among the shells.

Mount Roraima
Mount Roraima, which is almost 1700 million years old, is the most famous one in the world. Before the tectonic activity which moved apart the continents of South America and Africa, this oldest flat topped mountain was at one time, part of the Gondwanaland. It would definitely be a thrilling and exciting experience to stand on this lunar like surface with crystal bed of rocks, unique species of flora and pools of cold clear water, all around you.

Not only does the country of Guyana offer a varied range of habitats – from savannah to coastal lagoons, from rainforest to tree-old foothills, but historical accident has paved way to make Guyana, the only English-speaking land in the continent of South America

As the name suggests, French Guiana is an overseas territory of France. It has a varied and rich history. Devil’s Island situated here, is a highly controversial site, used as a prison till the year 1946. This place is most famous for its Mardi Gras celebrations and King Carnival. French Guiana has a warm and average temperature of 28° C, and high humidity all through the year. The best time for traveling is during the dry season, from July till December. January to June is the period of rainy season and May experiences the heaviest rainfall.

Iles du Salut
Salvation Islands or the Iles du Salut is a group of small islands having volcanic origin, located about 11 km off the coast of French Guiana. You can come across amazingly abundant wildlife including capuchins, sea turtles, macaws and agoutis. The white sand beach on St Joseph is a most refreshing place for a slight dip but has extremely dangerous currents as well.

St Laurent Du Maroni Waterfalls
In the northeast part of St Laurent, an oft-potholed road lies in the rustic village of Mana, which holds the credit of having a particularly scenic waterfall on the Mana River. It is considered to be one of the least-spoiled and loveliest rivers in the northern part of South America.

Remire-Montjoly Beach
These long sweeping beaches offer a few of the best waterfront in the country. But unfortunately, it is most often plagued by the infectious biting sand flies. Of the beaches, Plage Montjoly is the best one, its breezy waters drawing great numbers of kite surfers. There are in fact no schools or rentals to give more information. It provides a 5 km hike into the Grand Matoury Nature Reserve, situated at La Miranda that is convenient for some good bird-watching.

Maison De La Reserve
Swarms of mosquitoes and Amerindian settlements are the ones that populate Plage Les Hattes and Awala-Yalimopo, the world’s leading and adorable nesting regions for the giant leatherback turtles. A small museum is also located in the reserve, which helps in offering information regarding turtle biology, with two of the nature trails that lead from its premises. Nesting occurs during the months of April to July and the hatching of eggs take between July and September. The great number of turtles which come ashore is stunningly so high that one biologist compared that scene to a tank battle. You should definitely visit this place during the time of turtle egg-laying.

The Tresor and Kaw Nature Reserves
One of the French Guiana’s highly accessible primary rainforest locations is the Tresor Nature Reserve. Go around Tresor’s 1.75km botanical trail for experiencing its protected wildlife and rich diversity. Tresor borders the amazing and mysterious swamps and forests of the Kaw Nature Reserve, which is really an excellent place for observing wondrous water birds like the scarlet ibis and caiman.

However, it is the biodiversity of this tropical paradise of wildlife fascinating history that makes French Guiana, a worthwhile and colorful travel destination. Major attractions include unspoiled and beautiful beaches; an array of nature preserves which feature thousands of extraordinary species of animals and plants, scuba diving venues, quality game fishing, adventure tours into the rain forests of Amazon rain forest, and many more.

One of the most highly developed countries in South America; the Oriental Republic of Uruguay is a relatively small country. It is found in the south-eastern part of South America with only the Rio de Grande do Sul of Brazil as the only land border. Several water features surround the territory namely the Uruguay River in the west, Rio de la Plata’s estuary in the southwest and the cold blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean in the southeast. This reflects much of the country’s feature as it is generally a lowland carved with a complex network of rivers and streams. It has pleasant climate pattern which is temperate and uniform throughout the land with low chance of experiencing extreme temperatures. A properly managed, peaceful country like Uruguay will give you an exciting trip across its land and water systems.

Punta del Este
A popular resort town in the south-eastern side of Uruguay, Punta del Este is high-class holiday relaxation experience with a variety of beaches and shorelines to discover. Its two coastlines are Mansa and Brava showing the start of the Atlantic Ocean on one end and the end of the River of Silver on the other side. There’s a wide selection beaches depending on your taste which has made it quite a hit to many tourists especially during summer. Its mild weather, extensive coastlines and the town’s own efforts to promote the place, Punta del Este has easily garnered the top prize on must-see places in Uruguay.

Lunarejo Valley
For a country filled with a complex fluvial network such as Uruguay, there are still some impressive land structures to see. Right on the borderline of Artigas and Rivera near Brazil, Lunarejo Valley contains multiple ravines, valleys and even gorges that create a scenic landscape. The valleys have sub-tropical types of vegetation and other plant species such as bromeliads and orchids. Its ravines and prairies have become home hundreds of bird species (with only about 150 identified), amphibians and reptiles. This biological richness has made the valley a valuable area not only as a sightseeing site but also as a habitat for many organisms.

Vulture Gorge
Containing the largest canyon in the country that has an outgrowth of a subtropical forest at the foot of the gorge, Vulture Gorge, or Quebrada de los Cuervos to the natives, resembles a figure of a throat and is close to Treinta-y-Tres. The vegetation in the mountains is mostly lush grass but at the bottom, trees have grown forming forests. The variety of habitats is now home to a number of birds, mammals, insects and reptiles, many of which are poisonous. The contrasting climate between the mountains and the forests below has made this area an interesting place to visit.

Esteros de Farrapos National Park

A new national park has been founded in Uruguay to protect the species of Puma and Maned Wold that only lives in that area. Alongside Esteros de Farrapos are 24 other islands enclosed in the protective measures. There are also over 200 bird species identified in that park with a number of mammals, reptiles, amphibians and butterflies. Although, relatively undeveloped in terms of tourism, a number of recreational activities have been created in the park such as boating, bird-watching, fishing and horse-riding.

Rocha
A mix of spectacular landscapes and waterscapes as well as a wide diversity of flora and fauna is the features you would find upon arriving in this department. It contains several freshwater lagoons that are considered internationally significant wetlands because they shelter thousands of migratory birds and water birds. Each lagoon has something special within them, a paradise of birds, a palm forest or an ideal fishing site. A hidden gem inside Rocha is Cabo Palonio where you can find sea lions lazing about in the sand dunes. There’s just so many things to discover in Rocha which makes it an unlimited experience.

Ecuador literally means equator taken from the fact that the country rests directly on the equatorial line. It lies in the north-western region of the continent of South America and is bounded by Colombia in the north and Peru in the south and east. Its western shores meet the vast Pacific Ocean alongside the islands of Galapagos which is approximately 620mi from the mainland. Lying in the equator, the land generally experiences a tropical climate especially in the Pacific Coast but because of different geographical terrains, the varying elevations have caused it to experience a wide array of climate patterns. Consequently, the variability in both ecosystems and climate has made Ecuador a shelter of biodiversity. In all this, the people of Ecuador have strived to preserve their heritage in history, culture and biodiversity. Take a look into this land of natural heritage where time has only made the places more suited for discovery.

The Galapagos Islands

One of the most famous islands in the world for all naturalists, Galapagos Islands and its diversely radiated finches and turtles gave way to Charles Darwin’s crucial insights on the theory of evolution and natural selection. Consisting of volcanic terrains, its islands are home to many endemic species that has become a persisting study in the scientific community and a prioritized conservation effort among biologists. Cruise, recreational activities and wildlife photography have also been propagated in its shores for curious tourists. It’s a whole new of level of exploration in the historical and infamous Galapagos Islands.

El Oriente’s Rainforest

El Oriente will give you a peek into the abundance of the Amazon Rainforest, the largest rainforest ecosystem in the world, featuring its lowland tropical broad leaf rainforest that is also part of the Amazon Basin. A real jungle, for lack of better word for it, the area is actually one of the biodiversity hotspots in the world after the discovery of hundreds of different species of colorful birds, monkeys and other fauna and an extremely high number of insects, mostly undiscovered and unidentified. Its lush forest vegetation such as the kapok tree, which grows up to 200 feet, is a sight to behold. The rainforest offers an adventure into a wild jungle.

Cuicocha Lake

Another interesting site in Ecuador, Cuicocha Lake is actually a crater lake located at the foot of the already extinct Cotacahi Volcano. The depression was made when an intense volcanic eruption occurred 3000 years ago. Alongside other volcanic eruptions in the surrounding volcanoes, which are now dormant, the region contains fertile soil which has made it ideal for growing crops. The place has become a trekking and hiking area for nature lovers because of the deep blue water of the lake and the extraordinary terrain.

Isla de la Plata

Off the coast of Puerto Lopez in Manabi, in the northern part of Ecuador, another hidden treasure drifts along the ocean. A different experience from Galapagos but an equally enchanting place, Isla de la Plata has been nicknamed “Silver Island.” It was probably derived from the story of how Sir Francis Drake hid his treasure on this very island or it could simple be because of the bird droppings found on the cliffs that shine when struck by the sun. Either way, the tour into this tiny, peaceful island will give you a change to sight numerous humpback whales, dolphins and a variety of birds. Ecuador has much more to offer in every island it holds.

Cotopaxi National Park

The experience won’t be complete without a glimpse into Cotopaxi National Park which boasts one of the tallest and still active volcanoes on earth, the Cotopaxi Volcano. Surrounding this majestic landmass are beautiful lakes and mountain scenery with glaciers that sparkle in the sun. All this has made Cotopaxi National Park the most famous protected area in Ecuador and for a good reason.

Chile is a country located in South America with the Andes Mountains lined on its west and its shores are facing the Pacific Ocean. It can be viewed in the map as a very long narrow coastal strip, but it has a lot of things to offer, especially to those who long for a time to get linked with nature. The climate really varies, as it could be intensely dry in some parts but can be relatively cold in other areas. The length of Chile from north to south is said to be 4,630 kilometers and only runs about 430 kilometers latitude. We shall now explore this South American country and take a closer look on its natural wonders

Biobio River

The Biobio River is Chile’s second longest river with a length of 380 kilometers. Along the river vegetation made of bushes, trees and some flowering plants. When weather cooperates, the river waters vary from clear to deep green in color. River rafting is one of the most exciting activities in the river and you will be pumped with adrenal hormones as you paddle it hard to conquer the river’s rapids. A river cruise is also ideal for people who would love to spend time enjoying fresh air and that warm river feeling.

Ranco Lake

Located in the province of Ranco in Chile, Ranco lake is the fourth largest lake in Chile and is a popular destination for family outings and friendly getaways. On the eastern side of the lake, the sunset view is magnificent, which is a good photo subject for photo enthusiasts. You can also enjoy fishing along the Ranco Lake and try your best for a big catch. Usually during summer, the lake is perfect for outings and intimate time with nature. You can also put up your tent and camp along the lakeside, just make arrangements with the area’s officials.

Vina del Mar

The name itself affirms nature’s touch, the Vineyard by the Sea. Vina del Mar is a beach complex located in Chile’s central coast which faces the Pacific Ocean. During summer, beach goers would flock and enjoy the brownish-white sand and the strong and challenging waves from the Pacific. As of now, there are already skyscrapers built near the beach coast, but this does not hold anything from keeping Vina del Mar a natural wonder. Despite modernization, the beach has always been a product of nature that seeks to provide people the wonders of the earth.

Los Lagos Region

This is the region of the lakes. Los Lagos Region is a home to different natural wonders including the waterfall that can be found in the Chaicas River. The waterfall is just short, but the view during the day is magnificent and will surely never fail to delight your cameras for every photo you take. The Alerce Andino National Park can be the best place for nature lovers, it is a home to different species of birds and flowers. Trekking is ideal for adventure seeking families and trippers, you will be embraced by the vegetation and tall trees.

Osorno Volcano is an active volcano in Chile Famous for its very distinct white top covered with ice. It somehow resembles the famous volcano in Japan, Mt. Fuji. But Mt. Osorno has got a lot of things to offer, including its rich biodiversity. Charles Darwin even took a glimpse of this volcano when it erupted in 1835 on his expedition on board the Beagle. A plain view of the volcano is suitable for those who would love to see how beautiful a tame volcano is. So when you are in Chile, rest assured that these natural wonders will never fail you.

The biggest country in South America, Brazil showcases more than jungles and beaches with its hospitable people and great cities that shows the country’s contrast. This country borders all other country in the continent with the exception of Chile and Ecuador. There are many travel destinations that you can visit in this country, along with the biodiversity of their flora and fauna. The diverse culture makes Brazil more interesting to visit. Here are some of the most popular natural wonders that are found in this South American continent, Brazil.

Amazon Rainforest

When one is finding a place that is filled with plants and animals, then the Amazon Rainforest must be the best place to go. With over a million hectares, it is the widest of all forests in the world, covering most of the land of Brazil. The Amazon is filled with different ecosystems and several types of vegetation such as rainforests, seasonal forests, deciduous forests, flooded forests, and the savannahs. The basin in the Amazon rainforest is drained by the Amazon River, which is the second longest river following the Nile river. With this different vegetation in the Amazon, no wonder there are millions of animals found here with some species endemic in the area.

The Amazon is one of the Seven Wonders of South America.

Iguassu Falls

The end of the Iguazu River is one of the most fascinating wonder that nature has provided. These waterfalls are found in the province of Misiones that splits the Iguazu River into two parts, the upper and lower Iguazu. The name Iguazu comes from two Guarani words, namely “y” for water and “ûasú” meaning big. The name itself literally means that the Iguazu falls is one of the largest waterfalls that are even compared to the Niagara Falls which holds the world’s largest waterfall in the world. Tourists are provided footbridges for them to experience the breathtaking scenery of this falls and to take memorable photographs for them to make a lasting memory of this Brazilian wonder.

Iguassu Falls is one of the Seven Wonders of South America.

You can view Iguassu Falls Pictures by visiting the Seven Natural Wonders website noted here. One of the best places to stay is the Hotel das Cataratas, which is the only hotel inside the national park.

Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park

Almost 200 kilometers north of Brasilia, this park covers 231,000 square miles of vast floras and faunas, along with the different vegetation it possess. Canyons, falls, hot springs, and wide rock formations are also abundant in this park; which is mainly due to its location that is near the watershed between the Amazon River, Paraná River and the Sáo Francisco River. Aside from the plants and animals that the Capada dos Veadeiros National Park provides, it is also a rich in quartz crystal that is visible from the outer space as the brightest part of the world because of the reflecting ability of these crystals.

Fernando de Noronha

Fernando de Noronha is an archipelago consisting of 21 islands, about 350 kilometers off the Brazilian coast. The islands here are composed of volcanic remains, with almost no inhabitants living on any of the islands. The isolation of people on the island is one of the reasons why the wildlife is untouched here, as well as the floras that grow in the areas. Fernando de Noronha is also a UNESCO World Heritage site, and visitation of the archipelago is limited to few visits. If you are lucky enough, then you might be one of the 420 visitors to explore the region during the visiting opportunities. You will find that your encounter with this wonder of nature was worth your time and effort.

Atlantic Forest

This forest has almost been wiped out and only 15% of its 330 million acres is present. This moist tropical forest is not as wide as the Amazon Rainforest but it still possess a great biodiversity that is as important as in the Amazon. The Atlantic forest covers the southern regions of Brazil and northern Argentina, as well as southeast of Paraguay. Animals are abundant in this forest including about 200 endemic bird species and harbors 5% of the vertebrates on the planet. The Atlantic Forest is also home to about 8% of the plants in the world, with some 450 species of trees recorded.

The water comes from a river in the Peak of Auyantepui Mountain, and then flows to the Kerep River. A panoramic view of the Angel Falls is perfect at it just shows the creativity of nature in crafting beauty in this Latin American land. Although swimming in the bottom of the falls is impossible, still taking a view of this breathtaking landscape will satisfy your relaxation needs. During the wet season, the waterfall triples the amount of water it releases and thereby giving you a picture that somehow depicts pouring of blessings from heaven.

Orinoco Delta

Located in the eastern side of Venezuela, the Orinoco Delta is a fan-shaped landscape perfect for picnics and lunch-outs. Locals can provide you a tour in the delta just so you could experience your stay to the fullest when you are in Venezuela. But if you prefer to wait for the perfect sunset shot, the place can provide you a quiet time to rest as you wait for the sun to go down, for you to take a photo, which can be the best sunset shot you’ll ever

La Gran Sabana

The La Gran Sabana is one of the richest places in Venezuela in terms of biodiversity. Located in the Brazilian-Venezuelan border, this picturesque wonder is the home to some of Venezuela’s endemic species. The Gran Sabana is found atop a plateau that is approximately 1,000 meters above sea level and is accompanied by large table top mountains known as tupuis. To fully maximize your La Gran Sabana escapade, it is highly recommended that you bring a 4-wheeled drive car with you so that you can gain access to the best spots. The flowers are so pleasant and so as the morning weather. This is a very good way to free yourself from stress.

Mochima National Park

Just like any other national parks, the Mochima National Park is home to some endemic species and deserves biodiversity protection from concerned agencies. It can also be paradise for fishing enthusiasts. Get your best swimwear and take a dip in the northeastern shores of Venezuela, nowhere else than in Mochima National Park.

Known for the Inca Empire and the Norte Chico Civilization, Peru is a country located in South America and is very rich in terms of culture. Peru is bordered by countries like Ecuador and Colombia up north and its western side faces the Pacific Ocean. The capital province is Lima, located in the western part. Peru is blessed with natural wonders and scenery that would truly catch your eyes. The Machu Pichu is a popular attraction, although it is not a natural wonder, but just adds to Peru’s aesthetic value. Though Peru is still a developing country, it can still provide you a perfect time for vacation with its natural gifts for you to benefit.

Alpamayo Mountain

Alpamayo mountain is a candidate for one of the Seven Natural Wonders of South America. It is considered one of the most picturesque mountains in the world. Although lower than some of the surrounding peaks, it does reach a height of 19,511 feet (5,947 m). Alpamayo is easily one of the pinnacle wonders of nature from the country. It is located in the Cordillera Blanca mountain range.

One of the key features is the nearly symmetrical 60 degree pyramid shape of the mountain. Get a closer look and learn more about Alpamayo Mountain here.

Gocta Cataracts

Most of the waterfalls in the world only have a single drop, but Gocta Cataracts is different, it has two drops which reach 771 meters in height, making it the third tallest free-leaping waterfall in the word. The waterfall still has trees on its sides and the two drops are very visible from afar. Swimming in the waterfalls is not allowed, but there’s nothing that will stop you from enjoying the breathtaking view. The best way to enjoy is to have you camera ready with you and take your best shots. This natural wonder is an affirmation of Peru’s inner beauty, just like water that never ceases to flow.

El Misti

Standing at 19,000 feet above sea level, El Misti is a stratovolcano located in the southern part of Peru. The peak is seasonally snow-capped and the cone is symmetrical, although not as closely symmetrical to the Mayon Volcano in the Philippines. It last erupted in 1985, and is still active until now, with fumaroles presently found in some of its craters. A trek to the volcano is not advisable for plain tourist because the trek is somewhat very steep and is only recommended for advanced climbers. The sunset view is a good photographic sunset for those shutterbugs out there.

Lake Titicaca

The blue waters of Lake Titicaca are like the fresh and cold Peruvian climate. Lake Titicaca is divided in to two sides where the eastern side of the lake belongs to Bolivia while the western side is for Peru. In the Peruvian side of the lake, you can see locals who manage to preserve the traditional way of fishing with the use of their old designed boats. The lake is also the home of threatened species of frogs which needs biodiversity protection. A day spent in the lake is like a day spent in the spa because the scenery relaxes you from the stresses of life. This lake should be one of the places that you must visit when you are in Peru.

Manu National Park

Make way for this biodiversity wonder in Peru. The Manu National Park is beautifully landscaped with rich green trees all over the place and free flowing streams in some areas.

This park is home to more than 20,000 species of flowers and faunal species that would make you feel that you are in an African safari. The place is perfect for family getaways who want to spend time with their watching animals and birds for pleasure. There also campsites available, you just have to make arrangements with local park officials to be provided with camping permission.

Amazon Rainforest

Perhaps this is the destination that you should not miss when you are in Peru. Of all the places that were mentioned, the Amazon rainforest is probably the word that would ring a bell when we talk about Peru. In movies, the Amazon has always been described as a biodiversity rich area, with a very lengthy river. But beyond what movies show lies the secrets that Amazon wants you to discover. Experiencing it firsthand compares nothing else. The colorful birds are perfect for your kids to enjoy watching. Truly, the Amazon Rainforest is the affirmation of Peru’s innate wonders.
